Transformative, science-backed and created for lasting change

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps you work through difficult or distressing experiences, so they no longer feel overwhelming or keep affecting your day-to-day life.

EMDR is more than traditional talk therapy, it is a holistic treatment that invites you to heal by exploring all aspects of yourself—your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and heart. This can help you feel more settled, connected, and able to move forward in your life with greater ease.

Research shows that EMDR therapy:

Weekly therapy

Has similar, or even better, results than weekly therapy

Symptom reduction

Can enable faster symptom reduction in people with PTSD

PTSD Treatment

Is a potentially safe and effective treatment PTSD and complex PTSD

You have to feel it to heal it

In EMDR therapy, you don’t have to relive painful experiences or talk through them in detail. You don’t even need to fully remember, or understand, what may be keeping you stuck before you begin. What matters most is a willingness to notice what you feel, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

You might think of it like this: in EMDR, you can’t soothe what you don’t gently touch. Change happens when your nervous system is able to feel supported and safe enough to process what it’s been holding.

EMDR therapy may be helpful for you if:

  • Have experienced trauma, shock or distressing life events
  • You're fed up of trauma holding you back and you want to reclaim your life and address your trauma symptoms

Find talking alone hasn't helped

  • You have a specific fear or phobia is interfering with your daily life.
  • You have had a single stressful or traumatic event, such as an assault, fire or car accident.
  • You feel stuck with your grieving process following the loss of a loved one.
  • You need help now and can’t wait weeks or months to deal with the problem.
  • You are already having therapy but feel a bit stuck with your current therapist. Perhaps they are not trauma trained or their way of helping with the trauma has not helped. You can attend an EMDR intensive as an adjunct to your existing therapy sessions

What our clients say

After I had a car crash my whole life went into turmoil and Dr David really helped me change that over time. I struggled with what felt like PTSD and every time I heard loud noises I would get flashbacks. After a few sessions, I saw the affects of therapy…

Harry

Since working with Dr Kelly in situations where I would usually be flooded with fear, anxiety and be hyper emotional, I respond differently now. With ease and less fear/doubt. Dr Kelly will be the 1st professional I call if I find myself needing to work through experiences again.

Client Testimonal 2025

Thanks to Dr Eleanor and the practice of EMDR. They have helped me regain a former piece of myself I thought lost, and I am now able to move forward.

Client Testimonial 2025

Chryssa helped me navigate through several events that really challenged my boundaries, helping me be confident so that I was thinking rationally and not reactively. More importantly, I began to trust myself and how I thought about my relationships with other people.

We will help you to figure it out

If you’re not sure whether your experiences “count” as trauma, you’re welcome to talk it through with us in a call. Many people come to us feeling unsure—EMDR therapy can help you to identify how your distress is tied to painful memories, relationship patterns, or long-standing emotional injuries.
