Taproot Psychology

Trauma Therapy for Survivors

Welcome to Taproot Psychology, a practice that provides trauma therapy. We're so glad you found us.
Recovery from trauma is a difficult journey, but we're here to be with you on your path to healing, growth, and self-discovery.
At Taproot Psychology we help you reflect on your pain without sitting in it.
We'll offer support as you explore your difficult emotions.
Then we'll process those feelings together, and create an environment where you can grow.

Why Choose Us for Trauma Recovery?

The taproot is this central root from which all other roots grow. It's the key element for the growth and development of all plant life. If the taproot is compromised, the tree will be impacted and won't grow properly.

We use the taproot as a metaphor for growth and healing. In order for people to have happy, fulfilling lives, they need to have strong roots to ground them in their values and sense of self... but trauma disrupts this process. At Taproot Psychology, we help you find your roots and grow into the beautiful tree that you are.

Our mission is to help people find joy and pleasure in their lives after a traumatic experience.

We're Here To Help...

Taproot Psychology is honoured to hold space for you as you embark on your journey to recover from trauma.

If you're here, you may be experiencing:

  • Loneliness
  • Disconnection from others
  • Feeling stuck in the past
  • Constantly thinking and reliving things that have happened
  • A loss of control
  • A feeling of existing but not living
  • Not feeling fully present in the moment

These experiences are all related to trauma.

If any of these describe your current life, we will be there to walk with you on your journey to healing. It may seem daunting at first, but there is hope. We work with people who have experienced all kinds of traumatic experiences.
